Shore Points Amateur Radio Club Minutes of the meeting held March 19, 2015 at the Brigantine Community Center The meeting commenced at 7:32 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance and introductions. Seven voting members, one lifetime member and two guests were present. Club Treasurer, Bob Webb read the financial report for February. There was a complete accounting of all of the club's financial assets in the amount of $881.86 in cash, an increase of $33.00 over January. Marv Tyndall motioned to accept the report, Bob McFadden seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes of the previous meeting, held on February 19, 2015, were read by the club secretary, David Holmes. Rick Hitchen motioned to accept the minutes, Gary Paul seconded and the motion passed unanimously. A repeater report was given by Gary Paul. Both repeaters have been working fine with no need to visit the repeater site in the last month. It was decided that we would wait to see if there would be another power glitch before replacing the UPS. Sunshine Report: Betty Doran, mother of lifetime member Jeff Doran, passed away in February. David attended the viewing and delivered a card on behalf of the club. Bob (W) informed the club that Ed Clark was back home from the hospital again. The floor was then opened to old business. Gary emailed the appropriate city officials to make the necessary arrangements for field day. Rick's attempt to contact Jim Bennett concerning the radio room at the Brigantine Community Center revealed that Jim was out on leave until May 30th. David paid The Hays Affinity Group for the clubs liability insurance in the amount of $200.00 and was awaiting a copy of the insurance binder. Dave also agreed to set up an online account with the insurance company as well as create an email address for the club to use for all official business. The floor was then opened to new business. Three people were sponsored for membership. Edward "E. Jay" Miller W2XXZ, Anthony "Tony" Giardina WE2D and John Nemchick KD2BSK. All three were voted into the club unanimously. At 8:20 PM, Rick motioned to close the meeting, Bob (McF) seconded and the meeting was adjourned. Immediately following the meeting a 50/50 drawing was held. John drew the winning ticket which was held by Gary and the club netted $20.00.
